“COURAGE STARTS WITH SHOWING UP AND LETTING OURSELVES
Throughout my life I have dealt with suffering. Like anyone else, I would question why and attempt to understand the meaning of my suffering. It wasn't until I realized I needed a different perspective and help dealing with my suffering that things started to change. It was when I decided to go to therapy myself, which enabled me to have a different perspective, a more healthy adaptive one.
Therapy is about personal growth. It is about emotional evolvement. It is about processing past hurts which interfere and have an impact on us today. These hurts can prevent us from living to our full potential. It is a process, a journey that will benefit you!
I am constantly growing and learning through my sufferings and failures. I have become stronger and yet more compassionate to others when they are suffering. This compassion lead me into my current career path. I wanted to help others learn and grow and become empowered through their suffering as I was once helped.
I have been providing Individual and Couples Therapy for 20 years. I completed my undergraduate at Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science and majoring in Sociology. I completed my graduate work at the University of Dayton and received my Masters of Science in Social Agency Counseling. I relocated to Arizona in 2000 and am Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience and training for treating depression, anxiety, trauma, blended family issues, relationship issues and grief.
My therapeutic approach in session is very client centered. I think it is important to feel safe and comfortable in session and I make every effort to provide a calm and welcoming environment.
